Abstract: The article deals with modern theoretical representations about the essence and the role of innovations in the services sector. An analytical study of the scientific literature has been carried out to find the differences betweenservice innovations and industry innovations. The economic essence of innovations for the enterprises of the transport services sphere taking into account the specificity of their activity is determined.
