Abstract: In modern conditions, at the stage of Moldova’s integration into the EU, new directions began to develop actively, one of which is art business. With unstable market development and lack of transparent prospects, investors are increasingly considering alternative investments as a way to save their funds. The author of the article analyzes the evolution of the world market of works of art in 2017, giving a general assessment of the situation. Progressive interest in the art sphere is shown by investors. The newly established tendencies, inherent in today’s art market, are presented. Particular attention is paid to the situation prevailing in the market of contemporary art. This article will allow of the improvement of marketing relations in the sphere of art business and the adaptation of some recommendations to the Moldovan art market.
