Abstract:
Spatial mobility is increasingly becoming a condition of employment and social reality for many employees. The following article analyses the modes of employment and posting of personnel within nine German non-profit organisations. The aim is to describe four types of internationally mobile workers whose working conditions are similar to those in profit organisations in general outline, but different in terms of the conditions of personnel’s posting. Thereby an increasing group of less privileged employees with little or no allowances, displaying characteristics of internationally mobile „entreployee“ (self-motivated employee), is emerging in the course of a growing economization of non-profit organisations.
