Abstract: In this paper, a specific action strategy of unemployed persons is presented, in dealing with the demands of self-responsibility and self-initiative under conditions of increasing uncertainty. The individuals mostly move in a segment of the labour market, which is characterized by precarious employment and low incomes. The results are based on a qualitative panel with long-term unemployed.
