Abstract:
Praxeological-reconstructive approaches provide terms, concepts and practical research procedures for the methodological challenges of subject-oriented work research that need to be explored. Based on this assumption, the article defines the relationship between subject-oriented work research, praxeological sociology of knowledge, and documentary method, and focuses on the connections between them in two steps. First, existing connections on the side of work research are presented; in a second step, methodologically further developed concepts and procedures within praxeological sociology of knowledge are presented and related to subject-oriented work research. The surplus value of an approach to work research drawing on sociology of knowledge and reconstructive procedures is demonstrated at the hands of a research project on volunteer work. The aim of the article is to incorporate reconstructive procedures and basic assumptions of the praxeological sociology of knowledge within the methodological debate of subject-oriented work research.
