Abstract:
The restricted-use SSL is the primary directory of employer businesses available to approved researchers. Similarly, the National Establishment Time-Series (NETS) is a publicly available dataset that academic researchers commonly use to study businesses in the United States and is based on Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) data. This technical memo describes merging the SSL to the National Establishment Time-Series (NETS). In addition, based on a merge from the SSL to NETS, this technical memo provides summary statistics comparing data in NETS and the SSL.
