Abstract:
We construct race/ethnic and nativity status ownership categories for the combined use of the 2012 Survey of Business Owners (SBO) and 2014-2016 Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs (ASE). In this technical report, we discuss the differences and similarities between these datasets, produce metadata in the form of codes that harmonize the SBO and ASE, and improve imputations for non-response observations that address missingness within the datasets.
