Comment on "Costs and Benefits of Quebec's Drive Electric Program"
Philippe Barla
Canadian Public Policy, 2018, vol. 44, issue 1, 77-79
Abstract:
This comment reexamines the results of the cost-benefit analysis of the Quebec Drive Electric Program by Mercier, Lanoie, and Leroux published in this journal in 2015. It shows that when the additional costs of the electric vehicles with respect to conventional vehicles are accounted for, the Drive Electric Program leads to a negative net present value.
