Abstract:
The importance and effects of foreign direct investment in the world economy are indisputable, given that they have determined fierce competition in all countries for attracting foreign capital. In the situation in which world economy is more and more characterized by the deepening of the globalization phenomenon, foreign direct investments are factors that stimulate the intensification of this process. Both developed countries and developing countries have benefited and fully felt their effects, and globally they have led to an outline of a new world economic order. The purpose of this article is to analyze the dynamics of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the global economy, FDI inflows and outflows globally, by groups of economies and regions, and of global inward FDI stock by sector.
