Romania's Public Debt - An Overview in European context

Abstract: Currently, the knowledge of the public debt and the concern for the continuous decrease of the public debt are of great significance because Romania has difficulties in the evolution of the economy. So, public debt has an important influence on the economy both in the short term and in the medium and long term. This paper aims to provide an overview of public debt in the European Union and in Romania. At the same time, this paper makes a brief assessment of the situation in which our country is in present.
