The Impact of New Technologies on Teaching Academic Activities. A Post-Pandemic Analysis

Abstract: This study focuses on the changes and challenges that appeared when the university teaching activity was closed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis. New technologies started to be used to supplement the virus spread and continue in a new manner, based on using new technologies. The research question was: " Were new technologies efficient for teaching during the pandemic time?". The article analyzes the impact of new technologies during the COVID-19 crisis on the academic teaching process, the advantages and disadvantages of using teaching platforms, and the efficiency of using specific virtual instruments with students and colleagues. The analysis uses data from professors who activate in more faculties from one Romanian university. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, and the results (confirmatory analysis and NPS) indicated their importance, especially in that crisis period. The results indicated the importance of the research, leading to future studies and improvements.
