Abstract:
This article uses the case of DanileÈ› v. Romania to explore the pragmatic parameters of communication in court settings and their impact on legal decisions. It analyzes the use of humor and irony by magistrates, examining various interpretations of the case's outcome. The study delves into the multiple layers of meaning in courtroom discourse, considering contextual factors and the role of language in shaping judicial authority.
