Abstract: The African continent continues to suffer serious developmental challenges. African youth have remained resilient, but their perceptions about their countries have been declining due to rampant corruption and lack of accountability. This study aimed to understand the experiences of youth with corruption and their role in combating it. Key findings include that a significant percentage of respondents have been asked to pay bribes, regretted not paying bribes, or initiated paying bribes themselves. A substantial portion of respondents do not believe corruption will end in their home countries.
