Solution of a discrete matrix equation with second-order difference and single delay

Josef Diblík

Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2026, vol. 508, issue C

Abstract: A linear non-homogeneous discrete matrix equation with second-order difference and single delay is analyzed. If certain commutativity conditions are fulfilled, the solution of the initial problem can be written in a matrix form by using two types of discrete matrix functions, defined in advance. The results achieved previously are discussed with some new open problems suggested.
