Abstract:
This paper describes the results of mitigation analyses for the Hungarian energy and forestry sectors made in the framework of the U. S. Country Studies Program. The model system ENPEP was used to model the energy sector. We estimated CO2 emissions according to different scenarios of final energy demand growth and development of the power sector. In case of the forestry sector four long term scenarios have been developed by the COMAP-CASMOR model. Carbon sequestration and costs have been calculated.
