Soliton generation under ambient charge variation

Abstract: This work investigates the impact of ambient charge variation on soliton profile, revealing that introducing additional controlled charge at the point of soliton generation significantly alters the generated soliton profiles. A theoretical framework based on forced Schamel Korteweg deVries equation is proposed, which relates the gradient of the ambient charge voltage to the generated soliton amplitudes. Experiments are performed using a Nonlinear Transmission Line employing an innovative approach to introduce additional charge along the input pulse pathway. The experimental results confirm that the charge variations introduced at the time of soliton generation strongly influence the soliton profiles. Hence, this innovative clamping approach can be utilized for precise tuning of soliton amplitude and number, offering new insights into soliton-based sensing applications like space-debris detection, soliton amplification techniques and optimized Nonlinear Transmission Line designs.
