Abstract:
In the major socialist countries the general trend is to move away from strictly centrally planned economy. Therefore, new tools are being developed in addition to the large planning models, primarily input-output linear programming, which has dominated thus far. There is a growing demand for policy models in order to support the major decisions that need to be made.
