Energy, 2023, vol. 273, issue C

Abstract: The optimization of CO2 compression process in carbon capture and storage (CCS) can reduce the power consumption and cost of the entire system. A combined CO2 pressurization and storage system including a S–CO2 power generation process and an absorption refrigeration cycle (ARC) is put forward. ARC can complement the CO2 liquefaction and pumping process to decrease the power demanded in CO2 compression. Besides, S–CO2 power generation process driven by waste heat can provide additional electricity.
