Abstract: The continued promotion of diversified energy utilization has put forward higher requirements for the regulation ability of integrated energy systems. The flexible ability of demand side resources makes it an important means of regulating energy utilization efficiency. However, the current demand response economic compensation standards mostly use fixed empirical values, which may not fully motivate users to participate in demand response. Therefore, an optimized operation strategy for integrated electricity-gas energy system considering stepped incentives demand response was proposed. Firstly, by introducing dynamic compensation mechanism, a demand response model based on step incentives is modeled, and it is combined with price-based and substitution-based demand responses to form integrated demand response strategy. Secondly, with the goal of achieving the optimal operating cost of the integrated energy system, an optimal scheduling model for the power system and natural gas system was constructed. Finally, the distributed optimization solution of integrated energy system is achieved using the alternating direction multiplier method with adaptive penalty. By comparing and analyzing the examples under different cases, it is verified that the total cost of the system proposed in this paper considering the stepped incentive integrated demand response mechanism is reduced by 19.5 % compared with that the system without demand response. The gas load reduction volume of the system is increased by 53 m3. The simulation results demonstrate that the dynamic incentive mechanism is conducive to mobilizing the users to participate in the demand response and helps to improve the system economy.
