Abstract: As an emerging energy storage technology, the application scenarios of phase change cooling storage technology are becoming increasingly diverse, while the phase change cold storage material as the core needs to be broken through. This work developed a phase change cold storage material with enhanced cycle stability, utilizing erythritol as the core component, to address the issue of inadequate cycling stability in current phase change cold storage materials. The eutectic system of erythritol and deionized water was investigated, and the phase change cold storage material matrix EYHS was prepared by adding SiO2 to overcome the phenomenon of supercooling. Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and alumina nanoparticles were added to overcome the phase separation and low thermal conductivity of EYHS, and the phase change sol EYHS1-CMC2-NAL2 was obtained. The phase change temperature of EYHS1-CMC2-NAL2 is −10.81 °C, the latent heat value is 157.8 J g−1, and the latent heat value only decreases by 15 % after 1000 cycles, which has good cycling stability. EYHS1-CMC2-NAL2 can keep fresh food well, which proves that it has considerable potential for application in cold-chain transportation.
