Abstract:
In the brown coal hydrogasification process for SNG production developed in Germany, the coal-conversion ratio in the hydrogasifier represents a key parameter, which affects the total process flowsheet and the product costs. The effect of coal-conversion ratio on the process flowsheet, the energetic and exergetic efficiency and some important process parameters are investigated. Results favor an autothermic total process in which part of the hydrogen required for the hydrogasification is obtained by char gasification.
