Abstract: Empathy is often portrayed as a defining trait of individuals with High Intellectual Potential (HIP), frequently associated with heightened sensitivity, emotional depth, or altruistic tendencies. However, such generalizations oversimplify a multidimensional construct and overlook intra-group variability in empathic functioning.
