Switching-like decentralized event-triggered control for interconnected large-scale systems against DoS attacks

Abstract: This article introduces a switching-like event-triggered control (SETC) scheme for networked interconnected large-scale systems (ILSSs) under Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. The objective of SETC is to deal with the different situations under DoS-free time and DoS time. The decentralized SETC parameters are designed and adaptively switched according to DoS attack scenarios in order to improve communication efficiency and guarantee the desired control performance simultaneously. By incorporating SETC and networked ILSSs within a unified time-delay system framework, sufficient conditions are established to guarantee the asymptotic stability and the predefined H∞ performance of the closed-loop system. Then, by decoupling some coupled unknown variables in the developed stability conditions, the decentralized SETC parameters can be designed based on linear matrix inequality techniques efficiently. Finally, an interconnected vehicle system is executed to demonstrate that the proposed SETC strategy can maintain the control performance and simultaneously improve communication efficiency under DoS attacks.
