A mutually coupled finite difference operator for diffusion processes

M.C. Gilliland

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1962, vol. 4, issue 2, 78-82

Abstract: This paper describes a method by means of which the analog computer may be used to solve the diffusion equation. Particular use is made of the optimization of the difference operator lattice density reducing the amount of computing equipment required, compared to previous methods. A new concept of a « mutually coupleddifference operator is proposed.
