Simulation of an atmospheric transport problem

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (MATCOM), 1962, vol. 4, issue 2, 86-92
Abstract:
The vertical transport of fallout particles from nuclear weapon explosions consists of gravitational settling combined with eddy diffusion. This movement has been simulated on an analog computer. The particle concentration at different altitudes above the ground, the fallout rate and the deposition on the ground have been computed. Mathematical formulas used and computer diagrams are presented in detail.
