Abstract:
This paper uses data from Chinese listed companies from 2009 to 2022 as the research sample and explores this topic based on a quasi-natural experiment involving the implementation of the Tourism Law. The study finds that the improvement of the legal system can promote high-quality rural economic development; capital intensity plays a threshold role in this relationship; and interregional cooperation serves as a mediating channel between the improvement of the legal system and high-quality rural economic development.
