Abstract:
This study used the difference-in-differences method to examine the correlation between implementing the Social Insurance Law and enterprises' business credit by using data from listed companies between 2009 and 2023. Results suggest that implementing the Law can significantly improve firms' commercial credit by enhancing firms' total factor productivity and social standing. The benefits are increasingly evident in firms exhibiting greater industrial competitiveness and state-owned organizations.
