Abstract:
The utility for transport research of a number of key ideas from the methodology of Q-analysis is critically evaluated in this paper. It is argued through discussion of specific features of the approach that the literature on this subject has considerably overstated its utility, and that there has been a neglect of alternative methods that could achieve some of the desired ends.
