Decolonial AI: A perspective on the imperialist states’ colonizing quest for labor applied in the development of artificial intelligence

Abstract:
The process of exploring other countries in distant continents began in the colonialera, and imperialism still persists today in different forms. The development of technologyrelated to artificial intelligence also undergoes these impacts, where there is a colonialform of selecting bodies and minds that needs to change. The objective of this work is to removethe blindfold on an ultra-normalized process of super-exploitation of labor in artificialintelligence in Brazil by U.S. companies, creating a more sought-after profile, to embark ona process of decolonizing AI.
