Abstract:
This article seeks to recover the foundations of moral science and ethical philosophyunderlying the thought of John Maynard Keynes in an attempt to understand the constructionof the new taxonomy he proposed. In this regard, the influence of George EdwardMoore’s philosophical method on Keynes’ thinking is noteworthy, allowing him to re-examinehis initial training, whose first approach to economics was orthodox as a student of AlfredMarshall. As such, it can be said that Keynes used a “non-standard” methodology andhistoricism, importing elements from outside the discipline of economics, enabling a morepluralistic discussion within economic science. JEL Classification: B4; B22.
