Abstract:
"The most recent technological developments do not always find a way by themselves from universities into the business world. This is why one needs specialists who mediate between the two worlds, and this is often a job carried out by women. They have a good starting position in the newly developing field of 'technology transfer'. However it is an open question whether female academics see it as a career opportunity to take on an advisory, networking, managing and presentational role instead of carrying out research themselves."
