Abstract:
Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to boost the efficiency of employees by fostering employees' creativity and serving as a multipurpose tool for innovation. However, it is uncertain how AI affects employees' innovative work behaviour. Consequently, this study investigates the impact of artificial intelligence on the innovative work behaviour of employees. A total of 327 responses were obtained from questionnaires administered to software engineers, IT specialists, and employees with other tech-related positions in high-tech organisations in India. The responses were evaluated using the structural equation modelling (SEM) approach. The findings of the study reveal that AI work dynamics and AI capability have a considerable impact on employees' innovative work behaviour. This study makes a significant contribution to the literature on the effects of AI technology in the workplace and has significant implications relating to the utilisation of AI technology for employees' innovative work behaviour.
