Too Much Wealth, Too Little Democracy: Interview with Kevin Phillips

The Editors

Challenge, 2002, vol. 45, issue 5, 6-20

Abstract: Kevin Phillips's new book, Wealth and Democracy, has climbed onto the nation's bestseller lists. This long-time political scientist believes growing private wealth and great inequality have undermined democracy in the United States. In this interview, he goes beyond his book and provides a surprising set of strong proposals for reform.
