The Deficit Commission

Abstract: Earlier this year, President Barack Obama appointed a commission to reduce the long-term deficit. His endorsement, however, has unleashed demands for reductions in deficits right away. How much damage can these deficit hawks do? The author examines their incorrect assumptions.
