Money and inflation: a case study of the value of transparency

Abstract:
Hanke reported that there is “a tight linkage between changes in the money supply (M2) and inflation.” That paper illustrates clearly why journals should require authors to make all of their data and methods publicly available before their papers are published—indeed before their papers are sent out for review.
