The paper includes the interview where the author describes and analyzes a contemporary Russian society; the stages in its forming; the objectives of the economic sociology; the alternation of generations; the evolution of scientific schools including that in Novosibirsk City which she founded; and the scholars’ role and their responsibility at historical turning-points.
