Social model of the European Union

Abstract: The paper considers a new social policy in the European Union for 2006-2010 proposed by the European Commission. This policy identifies the priorities of the European social model and the measures which could enable citizens to gain confidence to effectively manage changes and to solve two key issues namely their employment and equal opportunities including those allowing their inclusion in the labor market.
