Abstract:
Last year was one of the slowest for global GDP growth (excepting the Covid-hit year of 2020) since the global financial crisis more than a decade ago. Tighter monetary policies in response to the inflationary surge, especially in advanced economies, contributed to the slower pace of growth. Nevertheless, at 3.2 per cent, growth was only slightly slower than in 2022.
