A note on nonrandomized Neyman-shortest unbiased confidence intervals for the binomial and Poisson parameters

Gerald S. Walton

Biometrika, 1970, vol. 57, issue 1, 223-224

Abstract: SummaryNonrandomized Neyman-shortest unbiased confidence intervals for the binomial and Poisson parameters are discussed and compared with other intervals for these parameters. Tables of the Neyman-shortest intervals are available for confidence coefficients 0.50 (0.10) 0.90, 0.95 and 0.99. The binomial table is for sample sizes not exceeding 30. The Poisson table is for observations less than or equal to 100.
