Abstract: Generally speaking, translation plays a fundamental role in the interaction between law and other domains, between different peoples and cultures. Given its important role in the intellectual and institutional development in EU countries and its pragmatic importance in the economic field, legal translation deserves close analysis. The present paper attempts contribute to the investigation of this field since its main purpose is studying legal translation as both an intellectual pursuit and a profession in our increasingly globalized world.
