Abstract: The year 2015 was marked by debates about massive arrivals of asylum seekers across Europe,triggering what the press and politicians called either the "crisis of refugees" or "(im)migrants'crisis." The purpose of this article is to seek a way through the refugee-immigrant paradigm and tofind out which of them is more relevant in the current migration crisis within the EU. The main question the article ayms to answer is: What effects produces each approach?.
