Abstract: As we all know, savings can be translated from the perspective of income and expenditure differentials, and at the same time it is a very important subject for both economists and other people. Collecting white money for black days," this is one of the popular interpretations for saving, proof that our ancestors have been thinking about this since ancient times. The paper aims to study this saving process, the degree of indebtedness of the population in Romania, which implies the use of appropriate econometric methods. Their choice was made on the basis of the economic theory of the observed phenomenon.
