Abstract: In the context of a predominantly subsistence agricultural activity in the Romanian rural area, the National Programme for Rural Development 2014-2020 allocated financial resources for the development of non-agricultural activities in order to diversify the activities and stimulate employment in the rural area, as a measure of development of this space. The paper analyzes the approved projects for this objective, highlighting and analyzing some specific indicators, formulating conclusions and recommendations for future allocations.
