Abstract: The present paper analyses the actual state of implementation of ESG practices in the Romanian food sector. It is aimed at determining the commitment of medium and large enterprises to such practices, as imposed by European law. Environmental, social, and governance factors are assessed through a questionnaire among employees of selected companies. Findings show that there is an increasing ESG commitment in Romanian large companies, but there still are aspects that need significant improvement.
