Introduction – Incorporating contributions from the 12th Australian institute of Family Studies Conference

Boyd Hunter

Australian Journal of Labour Economics (AJLE), 2013, vol. 16, issue 3, 307-309

Abstract: The Australian Journal of Labour Economics (AJLE) recently sought submissions from several of the authors of papers that were presented at the 12th Australian Institute of Family Studies Conference, held at Melbourne Convention Centre from the 25th to 27th July 2012. The conference titled, ‘Family Transitions and Trajectories’, included presentations on a wide range of topics including some focused on the interaction of family with certain labour market dynamics. The Director of Australian Institute of Family Studies, Professor Alan Hayes, worked with me to solicit suitable submissions from that conference and together we edited this issue.
