Abstract: Abstract When reviewing the flexibility literature, one observes that in much of the management literature three parties are said to benefit from flexibility: customers, employers and workers — flexibility is good for everyone. Another observation is that it is very hard to find any claims at all that flexibility is bad for employers, and even harder that it at the same time is beneficial to workers.
