Executive Team Facilitation: Some Observations

Chapter 17 in Business Driven Action Learning, 2000, pp 200-205 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract WHY am I here? This is one of the most critical questions asked by team members and must be addressed by an executive wishing to facilitate an executive leadership team. An executive must resolve the fears that are associated with unresolved issues often experienced by team members not familiar with team dynamics or working in a team environment. The resolution of these issues during this initial stage of team development often provides team members with a sense of purpose, a sense of assessing how they fit into the team and the expectations of the executive, and it allows them to test their sense of membership with other colleagues on the team.
