Abstract:
Abstract If you stand on Newcastle’s train station, in the early evening, you will often see orthodox Jews. Dressed in their sombre suits with their black Homberg hats, you might think that they are just in Newcastle on business. Go again and you might see them there again. This seems incongruous: you might expect to see orthodox Jews in London, but in Newcastle?
