Dimitris N. Chorafas
Chapter 8 in The Commercial Banking Handbook, 1999, pp 185-211 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The drive towards direct banking has many origins, one of them the growing sophistication of customers who are not seeking service gimmicks but better value for their money as well as ways and means to save time. Relationship banking means more competition among banks who need to be conscious of their reputation for: openness, responsiveness, and fairness.
