Brand and its symbols

Daniel M. Jackson

Chapter Chapter 8 in Sonic Branding, 2003, pp 54-59 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Way back in the dark ages of 1960, the American Marketing Association (AMA) put forward a definition of a brand that is interesting to note. They describe it as: ‘A name, term, symbol or design, or a combination of them, intended to identify the goods or services of one seller or group of sellers and to differentiate them from those of competitors’.1
